NuclearWinter > Input Manager

The InputMgr class is another GameComponent you can add to your game. It'll take care of:
  • Collecting data about Xbox 360 gamepads like whether a button was pressed during last tick
  • Define a proper threshold for triggering menu movements with the left and right sticks, so you don't trigger one direction accidentally
    • See this thread for a round-up about the problem solved by the InputMgr - http://forums.xna.com/forums/t/16913.aspx
  • Add a repeat rate to button presses for easy menu navigation

You instantiate the InputMgr class in your main game class, add it to the Components list in the Initialize() method, and add a public accessor so GameStates can access it.
